Michael Buffalo Smith Releases Outlaws, Rebels and Renegades, Collecting His Best Southern Rock Interviews, Available Exclusively at

GREENVILLE, SC—OCTOBER 12, 2006— Michael Buffalo Smith, Publisher and Founder of GRITZ ( ) the original online magazine of Southern Music, is happy to announce the first in a series of books from GRITZ Publishing, Outlaws, Rebels & Renegades. The book is available exclusively through Lulu (

Outlaws, Rebels & Renegades contains over 500 pages filled with personal interviews with the biggest stars of Southern Rock and Outlaw Country, including Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, Charlie Daniels, David Allan Coe, Bonnie Bramlett, Ed King, Artimus Pyle, Tom Dowd, Billy Bob Thornton and many others. There are hundreds of great stories here, all told by the people who lived them. Offset by dozens of never before published photographs, Outlaws is a true Southern music treasure and the perfect Holiday gift for any Southern Rocker.

Michael Buffalo Smith assembled Outlaws, Rebels & Renegades because of the ongoing requests from GRITZ readers for a collection of these conversations in book form.

We also plan to publish a GRITZ Yearbook. We are all quite excited.”
