PRESS RELEASE June 26/2006

Prevost’s Success Continues!!!

After receiving the 2006 SCMA Awards for Rising Star & Album of the Year, the list of achievements continues to grow for Codie Prevost. In recent months Codie’s debut CD “The Road Ahead” has been reviewed in Maverick Magazine which is “THE” country music magazine in London and in Power Source Magazine from Nashville. His song “Life Without Love” was chosen for the “Peace Songs For A Better World” CD, “The Road Ahead” is currently Number 5 on and will also be featured on the upcoming U.S. Compilation Band Radio Airwaves 3 to be released in August.

Currently Codie is a top 10 nominee for the 2006 Canadian Country Music Rising Star Award, his name appearing on the second ballot. Having performed over 115 shows in the past year and releasing three singles to Canadian Country Radio, Codie is gaining recognition not only in his home province but right across Canada

In June Codie traveled to Nashville where he performed as part of the Mark Trail Music Showcase at Douglas Corner Café during the CMA Festival. This performance has opened a few doors south of the border for Codie. While in Nashville Codie wrote new material with Tim Taylor (Aaron Pritchett), Gilles Godard (Terri Clark) and Adam Wheeler that he hopes will be featured on his next album. With plans to return to the Music City in September Codie will get the opportunity of working with various writers such as Larry Wayne Clark (Chris Young - 2006 Nashville Star) and Tom Peyton (Reba McEntire) on songs for his sophomore CD. Codie intends on recording the album this winter and will release the first single in the spring with the CD release coming in the early part of the summer of 2007.

Listen for Codie’s original Christmas single “Christmas In The Country” recorded with producer Steve Fox at 16 Ton Studios coming to country radio in late November/early December.

The past year has proven to be quite busy for Codie with many rewards. It certainly looks like he is on the right road to achieving his goals in the country music industry.
